It is a pity, our reader Daerox could not give us more information about this model of Opel Insignia OPC. Thanks to his spy photos we could see it quite clear. It became a protagonist of a photographic reportage, driving completely exposed for the viewers. But it still makes us be at a loss, because we can only see its hood.
Although in the image it turns out to be rather small, we also can see its rear, with a new buffer plate and a small diffuser flanked with exhaust outlet at each side. The official information has not been furnished yet, so all the information is hearsays, but let's remember that they told about the engine V6 Twin-Turbo of 320 CV with the help of which they are going to compete with such rivals as Volkswagen Passat R36 or Audi S4 RS4. As we see in the image, at the moment, it aims doing it with improved pull rod. And why not, with very good esthetics?!

Last year Volkswagen presented Golf GTI W12 Concept, an impossible Golf prototype with 650 horses, 12 cylinders engine in W and a compact external kit which enables breathing. It is normal that some tuning signatures were fixed to realize its preparations on the prototype details, but Exclusive Tuning Worldwide has dared to create a copy kit of the prototype imitating its esthetics with it.
The engine is not subjected to any modifications, and as they announce it is possible to mount it on any three doors Golf MkV, including SDI (atmospheric diesel in the fifth generation, which was not sold in Spain). The esthetic preparation is quite good, but it turns out to be hardly compared with the original, slightly normal prototype on the other hand.
The expected price of the bodywork kit is 12.500 Euros. And this is with the 18 inches rims, as those ones of 19 are optional. 2.0 TDI with a brass facing of W12 650 is not included in this price.

Everybody hoped this year a new turbo diesel of General Motors would appear on the North American market to equip the pickup Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra in of up to 3.900 kg, as well as for Hummer H2. The convalescent giant of Detroit has just announced that this arrival is late indefinitely.
This owes to the forgoing crisis, which forces to determine priorities and the new engine stays in the middle distance.
The first information was about a potency concerning 310 CV and a maximum pair of 705 Nm, but expiring with its strict exhausting norms. Certainly, in the bulletin they do not say anything about Hummer. The current offer concerning these vehicles’ work / free time / videos clearly says about big gasoline engines, hybrid version and Duramax diesel 6.6L. They affirm also that they are optimistic about the viability of this propulsor in future, but it is not time yet.

Land Rover has announced that the British government has granted to them 27 million pounds sterling (almost 30 million Euros) for the development of a new model based on Land Rover LRX, presented last year as a prototype. The new model, which official name is not known yet, will be the most compact, light and efficient that Land Rover made during its 61 years existence, according to words of Phil Popham, manager of Land Rover.
Land Rover calculated that they will need approximately 452 million Euros investment for their project, for the British government it is simply the top of the iceberg. They haven’t told yes, but some steps were taken. A new compact off-roader will have as big size as possible, new efficient technologies presented in Land Rover LRX, like the newly patent technology E-Terrain. Of course, engines will be improved in order to become more efficient than the current ones. The follower of Land Rover LRX will be produced at the plant of Halewood in Britain. It is a kind of governments’ help to British industry. If the project is carried out, the production at the plant will give employment to the British working there.

Gilles and Olivier Prevost started mounting engines and make cars in their small workshop, and up to now PGO has its own plant with territory of nearly 18.000 m2 close to Alès (to the north of Nîmes).
Its production is limited with three models that share the same chassis and mechanical elements and differ for their esthetics: PGO Hemera, about which we have already spoken to you here and it is the closed model, PGO Speedster II of 2003 being the most classic, and the last one to come and current version, the neo-retro PGO Cevennes.
The engine is always mounted behind two available seats and it is a 2 liters well-known block, which has 4 cylinders and 16 valves of PSA and gives 138 hp of potency and 190 Nm of pair. PGO Cévennes weight is 980 kg. Its speed is 200 km/h and it accelerates to 100 Km/h from stop less than in 7 seconds. Let us agree it has not bad characteristics. To find therefore a rival with whom to comete PGO Cevennes turns into a riddle of 3rd grade, but the most similar thing on the market there would be one Lotus Elise (3.400 € cheaper) or a Caterham Super Seven (400 kg lighter). Nevertheless PGO Cevennes does not have a sophisticated chassis of one and the services of other.
